Ways To Get Involved

Life Groups:   Grow closer to God with others.  Life Groups meet on various nights of the week.  Click here to find out more.

Cruesdays:  Happening online, 8pm on Tuesdays - Mezzanine Lounge (3rd floor, student center).
This is our campus wide gathering where all of Cru meets for a time of worship, fellowship, and a short message and or discussion.  Each week the Cru worship band will lead us in a time of singing, and then well have a short talk by a student, Cru staff, professor, or a guest speaker.  There are always some tasty snacks and a chance to catch up with friends or make new friends.  Cruesday is a relaxed setting and anyone (regardless of your religious belief) is welcome to come any week.  This is a great place to come and check out what Cru is all about.

Retreats and Conferences

Fall Retreat - weekend get-a-way in New Hampshire with students from all over Boston

Cru Winter Conferences - Join students from across the nation for a 4 day experience during the winter break. Locations all over the U.S.

Winter Retreat - We get away for the weekend at the end of IAP right before second semester starts. It’s just MIT students for this retreat.

Mission Trips

Summer Missions:  Spend your summer growing in your faith, living in community and sharing the Gospel with others. International and Stateside locations. Check out more info here.

Spring Break - Did someone say ROAD TRIP?!  Spend your Spring Break living on mission and enjoying community.  Recent destinations have include Florida, D.C., helping flood victims in Houston, and Puerto Rico.

South Africa - IAP trip - Spend a few weeks during IAP meeting in Mamelodi, South Africa, a vast township left in the wake of Apartheid where a significant number of residents still live with no electricity or running water. Less than 11 percent of students qualify for university, as they often struggle with entrance exams given in English rather than in their home languages. Here, we have the opportunity to model the Gospel in both word and deed. We will serve as teachers for the Mamelodi Initiative, a non-profit educational enrichment program that strives to empower youth to create positive change in their community. http://mamelodi.org

Looking for a Local church?

MIT students attend churches all around Boston and Cambridge. Here are a few great churches we recommend that are close to campus by walking, bus or subway. They are faithful to the Bible and are engaged in loving the City. They all have online services and some have some in person options during COVID, but you will usually need to register in advance to attend.

Highrock Cambridge
Hope Fellowship (3 stops outbound on the Red Line from Kendall Square)
Charles River Church
Aletheia (near Central Square)
