Theme/Purpose: A weekend to hang out together, have fun, and enjoy fellowship together as MIT Cru. A weekend to turn our hearts and minds towards Christ, be shaped and challenged by His Word. A weekend to gain vision and perspective to the mission God calls us into, both personally and together as a movement on campus. This is a great weekend to attend especially if you want to have an impact for Christ on campus, or want to lead and serve in Cru in some way. It's also great if you are newer to Cru and just want to get more connected to the Cru community. We'll leave Friday and return Sunday afternoon.
Location: North Falmouth, MA
Date: Feb. 2-4 (leaving evening of Feb. 2nd- approximately 5:30pm, Returning to campus on Feb. 4 at approximately 3pm)
Cost: $15 (Scholarship help available)
Transportation: We will arrange transportation from MIT - it will be a combination of cars and vans. Meet at W11 to load. Deparuture time is tentatively 5:30pm on Friday.
Accommodations: We are staying in a two large houses. They are modern homes with all the ammenities - hot water, heat, showers, etc. Sleeping arrangments: men and women will be in seperate rooms. There will be beds for some people to sleep on, but some will need to sleep on the floor. We will prioritize beds for those who have a strong need for a bed. You can request a bed in the Sign up form. We will bring some sleeping pads and blow up mattresses for people who have to sleep on the floor. If you have your own pad, please bring it.
Food: Food will be provided and we’ll have options for various allergies.
What to bring: If you aren’t sleeping on a bed you will need to bring your own bedding (sleeping bad or sheets and a blanket). Bring your own pillow. Clothes, bath towel, toiletries. Bible.
*Cru staff will be present during the whole retreat for anyone (parent or student) wondering if there will be adults present during the retreat.
